Sekatech is a private limited company founded in 2000 by Dr Matthew Rooney, a practising consultant anaesthetist. The company develops innovative disposable diagnostics for front line healthcare. Sekatech designs its products in-house; manufacturing and distribution is outsourced to contracted partners.
The company operates from and is registered at the Heart of England Foundation Trust in Birmingham, one of the largest and most successful group of NHS hospitals in the UK.
Our first diagnostic platform is the disposable haemoglobin meter and we have identified other related applications in healthcare and other sectors. Sekatech, with its distribution partners, will manage the introduction of its product in order to establish the Sekatech brand, thereby maximising return on investment. The company is building a local supply chain of manufacturers and distributors with a proven capability in medical devices.
